The washable wearable antenna




This wearable antenna is able to send a signal to satellites using the Cospas-Sarsat worldwide search and rescue satellite system. It is made from highly flexible, lightweight material that is robust against water exposure and moist conditions, and resistant to wear and tear.

Radio Museum of Monte Ceneri Activation

We are proud to announce that to celebrate the 10° anniversary of the RADIO’S MUSEUM of Monte Ceneri foundation, we will be active with the special callsign HB9IRC.
The activation will take place on Saturday 1st October from 08:00 to 20:00 UTC and Sunday, October 2, 2011 from 06:00 to 13:00 UTC on voice, CW and digital, in the bands 10 - 15 - 20 to 40 and 80 meters.
All the contacts will be confirmed with a special QSL.
The museum contains relics of the history of radio by Guglielmo Marconi to the present, devoting a large space to broadcastings, with exposure of radio receivers, transmitters, parts, measuring devices, valves, and ending with the library of the history of technical and radio communications.
This activation is valid for our "Regio Insubrica" award with the reference HB9-003.
We want to thanks HB9OAU (Vice-President of the TERA Radio Club Lugano ) and HB9EFJ (Vice-President of the Radio Club Locarno) for their excellent organization. Both Clubs are “twinned” with Insubria Radio Club and collaborate organizing special radio event aimed to valorize the great resources and beauties of our territory.
Funds collected by our activations, awards, and as well all membership fees and voluntary donations, are donated to charity projects that are well explained on our website.

To obtain the award you need to dial 217 points in connection with radio in Odessa and Odessa region. Connection count from 1 September 2011 to August 31, 2012 on all amateur bands, any kind of radiation. Each link gives 20 points. Communication with EO1794F (memorial call from 09/01/2011 to 15/09/2011) gives 50 points. Repeated communications are allowed on different bands. Diploma free of charge. The award is issued only in electronic version (sent by e-mail of applicant) in the form of two identical files, one in PDF, one in JPEG. Application in the form of an extract from the log in a text format are sent to the award manager:
